What we are about

We are a local organization for begonia enthusiasts in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The BSSF is a branch of the American Begonia Society - http://Begonias.org and enjoy the benefits of this national organization.  We are celebrating our 80th year in 2019.  We have dedicated our Chapter to our long time benefactor, Carol Notaras, for her commitment to ABS and our local chapter over the many years of her participation.  Carol and her husband Peter, recently deceased, has contributed many hours and funds to our continued success.  She continues to give us guidance on the cultivation and identification of the  genus Begoniacea.
